Refund & Cancellation Policy – Tea By The Nile

Pre-Order Cancellations Since all current orders are pre-orders, you may cancel your order at any time before it has been shipped. To request a cancellation, contact us at info@teabythenile.com with your order number. Once your order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled but may be eligible for a return under our standard policy below.

Full refunds for cancelled pre-orders will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Standard Return Policy We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. UK customers are entitled to a minimum 14-day return window under the Consumer Contracts Regulations — our 30-day policy exceeds this requirement.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, and in its original packaging. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Please note that opened tea or food items cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.

To start a return, contact us at info@teabythenile.com. If your return is accepted, we'll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages & Issues Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us within 48 hours if the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect — especially for glassware. Please include a photo and your order number so we can make it right promptly.

Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items We cannot accept returns on sale items, or gift cards.

Exchanges The fastest way to exchange an item is to return it and, once accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds Once we've received and inspected your return, we'll notify you of approval. If approved, you'll be refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. If more than 15 business days have passed since approval, contact us at info@teabythenile.com.
